NDI Monitor 6.01

Sienna's NDI Monitor, developed by the global IP video leaders, offers a professional solution for monitoring NDI sources. The application conveniently presents NDI sources on your local subnet through a pop-up menu upon tapping the screen. Moreover, by adding 'NDI Access' IP Addresses from other subnets to the system preferences panel, you can extend access to additional NDI sources. The software features support for the NDI Discovery server, resolution control, video flip functionality for autocue, and NDI network Protocol management to ensure reliability.

It is imperative to maintain a stable WiFi connection or utilize a wired Ethernet connection for seamless playback of NDI Streams. Users may enhance performance by employing a directional WiFi antenna and optimizing the WiFi signal strength. Issues such as glitching audio or dropped video frames are typically attributed to an unstable WiFi connection, which can be rectified by using a wired Ethernet to Lightning adaptor.

Users should manage their expectations when selecting Hi-Resolution NDI, as this mode is considered experimental and is recommended for devices with exceptional speed and clean network connections. While optimal results may be achieved in some scenarios with high-resolution settings, perfect performance is not guaranteed.

The application provides preferences in the System Settings app for configuring various application options. Additionally, users can leverage the NDI Scanner app as a stream selector, seamlessly transitioning to NDI Monitor when selecting a stream. Notably, it is now possible to set the NDI Device name to accommodate multi-device operations with iOS17.

Please note that this application exclusively supports full NDI format and NDI HX2 streams, omitting compatibility with the NDI | HX1 format streams. Users utilizing multiple devices on the same network should designate unique names by setting the "NDI Device Name" in the app settings.
